Jets fans travelling to New Jersey?
A number of airlines offer both direct and connecting flights from London to New York, with multiple departures daily. These include British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, American Airlines, Air France and KLM.
The average flight time to JFK is around 8 hours.
Getting there
MetLife Stadium is an open-air multi-purpose stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey, 5 mi (8 km) west of New York City.
By Bus
Coach USA operates the 351 Meadowlands Express from Manhattan, departing from the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 8th Avenue and running directly to MetLife Stadium.
Buses typically begin service around 2.5 hours before kick-off and continue until approximately 30 minutes after the game starts. After the final whistle, return services run for around one hour.
Drop-off and pick-up at the Sports Complex is usually located near Parking Lot K.
By Train
The Meadowlands Rail Service delivers fans straight to the front door of MetLife Stadium.
Most NJ TRANSIT rail lines connect at Frank R. Lautenberg Station at Secaucus Junction, where you transfer onto the Meadowlands shuttle train. This service runs directly to the stadium and takes around 10–15 minutes.
The Meadowlands Rail Service runs for major events only (including Jets games), so make sure you’re travelling on a game day.
Trains typically begin running around 3.5 hours before kick-off and continue until roughly one hour after the game.
A round-trip fare from New York Penn Station is usually around $13, and tickets can be purchased in advance via ticket machines, ticket windows, or the NJ TRANSIT Mobile App (strongly recommended).
Stadium tours
The MetLife Stadium Tours offer both an exciting and educational experience for every sports fan!

MetLife Stadium is home to both the New York Jets and New York Giants, and one of the premier venues in the NFL. Alongside football, it regularly hosts major concerts, international soccer, and some of the biggest events in the world.
If you’re visiting the Meadowlands, a stadium tour is well worth considering. You’ll get behind-the-scenes access to premium areas such as the Commissioners Club, luxury suites, and the press box — as well as the chance to step out onto the field where your favourite players line up each week.
Tours are available, but not always running on a regular schedule, so it’s worth checking availability in advance before planning your visit.
For Jets fans, it’s more than just a tour — it’s a chance to experience the home of the team up close.
Tailgating

If you’re heading to a Jets home game, tailgating isn’t optional — it’s part of the experience. And when it comes to where to go, there’s one spot that stands out.
Head to Lot D10, where you’ll find Frank West — better known as “Jet Green Santa”.
His pre-game tailgate is the real deal: great food, music, drinks, and a proper game-day atmosphere, all building up to kickoff. It’s the kind of place where fans come together, whether you’re a regular or visiting for the first time — and the best part? It’s free to join. Frank simply asks for a donation to the Marty Lyons Foundation.
A lifelong Jets fan and a fixture at home games, Frank is part of the fabric of the fanbase. He was inducted into the New York Jets Fan Hall of Fame in its inaugural class, and his cooking has even featured on the Food Network’s Chopped.
If you want to experience Jets game day the right way, this is where it starts.
