Martin Luther King once said I have a dream, well I have a nightmare, it’s September to December when The Green and White New York Jets take the field and sell you a dream of hope. Being a Manchester United fan all my life, I was used to WINNING and WINNING ALOT, and the Jets would win here and there mostly lose, but it kept me humble.

Times change, Man U are not quite the winning team they used to be, however the one thing you can rely on is them same old Jets. The team I chose when I was a teenager based on my favourite colour green. Losing consistently in two sports is normally a terrible weekend.

My favourite time being a Jets fan was actually during the Sanchize era and to be honest this is probably gonna be the peak of this fandom reaching two AFC Championship games and being so close to going to the Superbowl, whilst seeing them beat the Dolphins at Wembley as a Jet fan living in London is also another highlight.

During the Covid outbreak I joined a wrestling podcast on youtube (you can check out by searching DaSharpshooters *shameless plug) and for two years I was ridiculed by my co-hosts for being behind this organisation and it was only until this 22/23 season where we looked somewhat of a force that I had my time to throw it back, ‘til it all came crumbling down again.

The only thing that is really keeping me here and sane is that there are more delusional fans I’ve met at The Hippodrome (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!), all making the SAME mistake I did, and chanting along with them J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS and dying a little more inside each time.
